The Eye-less Post

Please refer to my sketch scribbles for my current blogging excuses.

Inspiration always comes at the busiest moments. So I will write in the middle of the night as the caffeine loses its power slowly….

Eye-less Post………………recent life documented minus the eyes…..

A gift from one of my girls (because we’re “look alikes”)

A gift from the previous house parent assistant and such an incredible daily read.

For the past month and a half I’ve been digging into 2 Corinthians.  I’ll share a tiny bit of my “Daughter Diary” journaling to clarify what inspired the I-less (and eye-less) post.

““Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God.  We have done so not according to worldly wisdom but according to God’s grace.” (2 Corinthians 1:12)

holiness (haplotēs)- Singleness, simplicity, sincerity, mental honestly.

-the virtue of one who is free from pretence and hypocrisy

-not self seeking, openness of heart manifesting itself by generosity

sincerity (eilikrineia)- purity, sincerity, ingenuousness

For the purpose of being above reproach, for the purpose of my boast being in the right place….my ministry must be focused and clear of all distractions, honest- no mixed motives.  Why am I doing what I am doing?  This shouldn’t be a shifting idea day after day.  Unashamed.

——–and these actions are inspired not by worldly wisdom that seeks to accomplish something for oneself, but by the grace of God….the boundless ocean that inspires me to share what I experience joyfully, daily.

Let my testimony be set apart and saturating, the cry “The Cross was enough.””

Examining motives is a scary process.  “Mental honesty”….we can convince ourselves of so much.

The recognition that the less of “me” is in ministry, the more I treasure my relationship with Him and value the time I spend with Him.

Less of me….more of Him.
